A Room For Two (to make room for three)

Well we officially moved Kyler in with Conner this week. They think it is the best thing ever!! Conner loves having the top bunk and Kyler loves his big boy bed with Wall-E sheets. It has probably been harder on Brian and I because we feel bad making Kyler give up his room, although it helps that he thinks being in Conner's room is so fun! But Brian and I don't get as many hugs and the boys aren't sleeping as late as they used to. They love the bunk bed and will spend hours playing games, reading books, and doing puzzles on the top bunk until Conner decides he is done sharing and wants Kyler off. They we hit melt down and have to take a break from the beds.

Easter Dinner and Party

After church we drove up to Steve and Val's home for the annual Grandma Valerie Easter Egg Hunt and dinner. It was great fun the cousins all got together and dyed eggs while Grandma and Pop pop hid the eggs outside. Then we all went out to watch the boys find the eggs.
After the hunt we all sat down to a delicious ham dinner. It was fun to see all the cousins interact now that they are getting older they play together pretty well. After dinner we celebrated Aidan's 3rd birthday as a family. As usual I made the cakes.... It was a bunny to fit with the Easter theme.

Kyler was so excited about the present we got for his cousin that he wanted to help him open it. (You see he picked out it himself and really likes it.)

Easter Morning

The boys were so excited to see what the Easter bunny left Sunday morning. They woke early and could hardly wait for Dad to see if the Easter bunny had come, which he had of course. They were so excited about their Easter baskets full of candy and dollar toys they had a hard time hunting for their eggs.

Each time they found an egg they would look at their basket some more before returning to the egg hunt.

Then they found their sand toys that the Easter Bunny left them and we went outside to see the giant turtle sandbox.

The boys haven't wanted to be anywhere else since...even today as it is pouring rain they are begging to go out to the sandbox.

After we pulled them away from the sandbox we went to church, here are the boys in their easter outfits. Conner even had matching argile socks, wich he was proud of...but somehow I didn't get a picture of them but he showed them off to everyone at church.

Dying Eggs

On Saturday we dyed Easter eggs. The boys had great fun. It was fun to watch their different approaches.

Conner took his time to get the egg the right color or right combination of colors.

Kyler wanted to color one after another and finished his twice as fast.

We all had a great time.

Kyler decided that using the spoon took too long and decided hands worked better.

Wiggle Dancing

Kyler asked me to plug in the Wiggles so he could "dance" and Conner joined in on the fun. I had great fun watching all thier "moves". They have been dancing and showing off their moves ever since. It sure brightens my day.

March was a busy Month

It's so hard to believe it's really April already. Last month was a blur between being sick and all the parties and events we had going the month flew by. I made many cakes...

Sharon and I made a diaper cake for Brian's cousin Roxanne's baby shower. It turned out really cute and we had fun at the shower. She had her baby on March 27. He was 5lb 3oz and 18 inches long.

Next we celebrated Brandon's birthday it had a St Patrick's Day theme and I made a shamrock cake.

Then on Saint Patrick's Day we were able to be a part of Ben and Angel's wedding. They were so excited and looked so happy.

Then I made one last cake for nephew Guinness. He turned two and loves Sponge Bob.
In between all the excitement Conner had a cold for several day, which Kyler caught. Then Kyler got a double ear infection. Then I caught the clod, which dragged on for over a week and then turned into a sinus infection which dragged on and on.......but Brian never caught it and we are all well again. YEAH!!!!

It's A Girl!!!

I had my ultrasound for baby number three today. It's a beautiful baby GIRL!! We are so excited to be having a girl. Conner and Kyler are excited to be having a sister...Kyler thinks there is a baby in his tummy too. But most important is everything looks good the baby healthy and normal!! She loves to move and didn't stop wiggling through the whole ultrasound. The technician showed me three times it was a girl before I started believe her...I am still in shock. We are really going to have a little GIRL!! (I do have the invasive picture to prove it but this one is so cute.)

Reading Together

It was so cute I came upstairs to find to boys reading together on Conner's bed. Conner first read Klyer "Ten Little Monkeys" and then they started this book. It is a number book with flaps. Conner would tell Kyler which flap to open next, Kyler would open that one and Conner would count how many objects were there. They were having a blast and it was so rewarding for me to see them working together.

Saturday at Cabela's

Saturday we went to Cabela's which is one of the boys favorite places to go. It is a giant outdoor sporting good store that has everything from camping to hunting to live fish tanks, that's right live fish tanks. The boys love watching the enormous cod, catfish, trout and salmon swim around. There are also huge displays of taxidermy animals. The boys just love wandering all over the store looking at all the animals and it is all free( my favorite part). Well actually my favorite part is their fabulous fudge which is not free but very very good.

Kyler found a nice seat with a new friend while waiting for Dad and brother to catch up.

Grandma's Birthday

Yesterday we celebrated Valerie's Birthday. She choose to have a Harry Potter party and we all had a blast wearing Harry Potter glasses and eating Harry Potter candies.

Kyler and Daddy sure look cute in their glasses and enjoyed bingo and a prime rib lunch.

Conner loved his glasses too and has been wearing them around the house.

In keeping with the Harry Potter theme I choose to make a golden snitch cake. It was hard work but turned out pretty good and tasted better then it looked.

Happy Birthday Grandma Valerie and Grandpa Walter!!
Happy Valentines Day all!

Sugar Cookies

Today we made sugar cookies. It took most of the day but Conner and Kyler really seemed to enjoy it. The boys had a blast, they got to wear their aprons, use their rolling pins, lick the beaters and eat cookies!!

They both enjoyed adding the ingredients to the mixer.

Conner really loved licking the beaters and snitching cookie dough.

Kyler was very excited about cutting out the shapes and rolling out the dough.

While Conner was very careful with cutting out his shapes.

They both had a lot of fun decorating and eating the cookies. It was great fun helping and watching them too!!

Pop Pop's Visit

Pop Pop Steve came to visit the boys last night as he likes to do every so often and the boys love it to. They get to stay up late, watch movies and eat popcorn. Mommy and Daddy like it to because we get to go on a date. The boys had so much fun with Pop Pop and when he left they watched through the window...it was so cute!! Thanks Pop Pop Steve!!

New Coats

Conner decided on wednesday that his cars coat was too small and that he needed to wear his new blue coat that he got for Christmas, so of course Kyler needed his new red coat. They have worn them everyday since despite the weather 50 + and sunny. Conner is so excited to tell everyone that his Grandma Frances and Pop Pop Tom gave it to him for Christmas when he was in California. They are still a little big, but it is so very cute to see them in the coats...they will be perfect for next year.

Thank you Grandma and Pop Pop!
