Football in the Snow

Today was a beautiful warm sunny day. Ok maybe not California warm, but warm for January in Utah, around 40 degrees. We went out to play in the snow and sunshine. Or in Kyler's case to eat the snow.

Conner had great fun running the ball past Daddy and down the hill into the fence for a touchdown! Daddy just enjoyed sliding down the hill.

The boys desided to have a little football game. Here is Conner kicking off, Kyler tried it too, but I was not fast enough with the camera.

Kyler tired of the football quickly and enjoyed sliding down the slide into the snow, eating ice and snow and playing with his snow shovel.

Conner is Five!!!

Happy Birthday Conner!!

Conner turned five on Friday and I just can't believe my baby is five already!! He is growing so fast. He can read and write and he is always trying to understand things. He had a little celebration at school and got to bring treats, he loved ever minute of it. Conner chose to go to Mc Donald's for dinner, which I am learning seems to be the choice of most five year old. He said it was an awesome day! He also informed me he wasn't really five until he had his cake.

He had a family party on Saturday, it was a football theme. We had hot dogs and nachos two of his favorite foods and very fitting with the football theme. I made a football cake, which Conner was very excited about and even more excited to eat it. Most of his toys involved some sort of super hero which I also think goes with the age. Thank you to all who came, called and sent cards and gifts...He was super excited to hear from everyone and to turn five!!

Christmas Day

We got the chance to see my Grandpa Walter while we were out there which was so nice. He drove up to visit twice and even spent the night one night. It was a wondrful trip.

We had a fun Christmas with everyone in Calfornia. The boys had fun pulling things out of their stockings and unwrapping all their gifts. Conner was so excited to get the lego McQueen and the remote control 4 wheeler he asked for. Kyler enjoyed opening all his gifts and loved what Santa brought him too even if it wasn't the doughnut box he asked for. The boys got many toys and games which they are still having fun with. Thank you to all who sent them and gave them such thoughtful things. Kaelyn seemed to love the doll Grandma gave her and really enjoyed playing with all the toys. It was a fun day with family and good food. Kyler got sick that evening which was too bad and was sick for a few days, but was better by the weekend.

Santa's Visit

Santa came visit on Christmas Eve the kids were a little scared at first and were all backing away. Little Kaelyn even hid behind her Daddy. The boys still tell everyone about how Santa came to Grandma's house on Chirstmas Eve before they were asleep. It was a wonderful memory.

Christmas in Danville

We had a nice and relaxing visit at Grandma Frances and Pop Pop Tom's house. The boys loved playing outside since the weather was so much better (no snow). Conner especially enjoyed playing football and soccer with anyone who would play with him. He had Pop Pop out there and Uncle Todd, Aunt Jackie and Daddy...He even got Mommy out there for a little while.

While in California we had the chance to go see the Christmas lights and windows in San Francisco. The boys loved the train ride and the big tree in Union Square. They also loved the chocolate suckers they got from the See's Candy store. There was chocolate everywere...(great idea Mommy). Kaelyn also really enjoyed her sucker..I wish I had got a picture... everything was sticky and brown!

Oakland Temple

We had a great time in Calfornia we got go spend time with Todd, Jackie and Kaelyn. Here we are checking out the lights at the Temple. The weather was a little wet and foggy but we had a good time.

Conner had a great time with his buddy Grandma Frances and the BIG umbrella.

Grandma's Christmas Quilts

Grandma Valerie made each of her grandsons a quilt for Christmas year. They were all so cute and unique. They each got a book to match their qiults it was so cute! Conner and Kyler love their quilts and have them on their beds...Thank you Grandma!!
