T-Ball Time

Conner had his first T-ball game last night and he did great!! He played short stop and second base. He also got two at bats and ran the bases. He loved it!! He had the biggest grin after making it home the second time! We are so proud of him he has come a long way and know that being out there took a lot of courage for him.

Here is Conner in his "ready" stance waiting for the ball to be hit.

Batter up!!

Conner at short stop no balls coming his way... we hope.

Kyler wanted to play too so we played a little catch as we cheered on Conner.

The Baby's Room

As the time for baby Annie to arrive gets closer we have been working on her room. It is not done yet, but we are getting close. The walls are a pinky purple (which doesn't show up to well in pictures) and there is a white crown moulding shelf around the room 18 inches from the ceiling the wall above the shelf is white. Brian and his dad did the shelf. The crib set Sharon found for us and it looks so cute in the room. It is definitely a girls room now and we don't even have the butterflies or dolls up yet!

In this picture you can see the shelf

This is the window and changing table.

Here is the cute crib.

Silly Boys

Conner and Kyler are so good at making me smile. They were playing with stickers the other day as I was making dinner. Hope these silly pictures bring a smile to your face too!

Daddy Time

Brian and the boys made cookies on Sunday. They had a great time together, measuring, stirring, and of course eating!! They were so excited to make something with Dad. I had fun watching them and taking pictures.

School is Out!

Friday the 22nd of May was Conner's last day of school. I have been trying to post this but was having trouble with getting the pictures to post so here it is. He had a circus party, which he still talks about and he brought home papers comparing his coloring, cuting and writting skills from the first of the year and now... I know he has grown a lot through the year but it was amazing comparing his progress!

Conner with his teacher Mrs Flack on circus day, he really wasn't sure about her being dressed as a clown, he stood and stared at her for about 10 minutes.

Conner's picture from the first and last day of school. He really hasn't changed the way he looks...not even the clothes..ha ha ha.

Grandma and PopPop Visit

Grandma and PopPop flew in for a short visit two weeks ago and the we all had fun with them. We didn't do much but relax and had great fun doing it.

The boys had a blast with blowing dadilions at Thanksgiving Point and showing Grandma and PopPop Cabela's. Kyler also collected some rocks another favorite for him.

Both boys enjoyed story time with Grandma and PopPop. They would wake them with books in hand and anytime there was a little down time their they were with another book. (Sorry Grandma and PopPop they sure love books and it was fun to watch you with them.) Conner also loved showing off how well he can read.

Conner also took Grandma to school as his show and tell. I think it was his favorite show and tell, he still talks about it.

Thank you for coming to see us Grandma Frances and PopPop Tom. We sure had fun!! Kyler still wonders where you are sometimes.

Kyler's Excamater

After the race we all went back to Steve and Val's and had a little party for Kyler's birthday. He had it in his head that he wanted an "excamater" cake. So I worked on a design and think it came out OK. Any time he went anywhere and anyone asked him if it was his birthday or how old he was turning his response was always the same, "excamater cake"! He really loved it and could not and still has not stopped talking about his excamater cake and excamater birthday. In case you are unsure what an excamater is, it is an excavator.

Race for the Cure

Saturday morning we all got up very early and went to Salt Lake to do the Race for the Cure. We walked 5K and had fun. We went with all of Brian's family and even had our own team name, Zella's Bazoombas in honor of Brian's grandma Zella who died of breast cancer. Brain's mom is also a 2 time survivor and was so grateful we went to do this with her. We had a blast and were all exhausted by the end of the day.

Wow, look at all those people!!

Kyler's Birthday

It is so hard for me to believe that my baby turned 3 on Friday. He was so excited!! He chose pizza for dinner and was telling me at the restaurant that circle foods are yummy like cookies and pizza and suckers and doughnuts and pancakes and waffles....
We gave him a new outfit with a frog on the shirt and he spent the morning hopping around like frog.

They are getting so big and are looking more similar all the time!

Kyler also got a Wall-E for his birthday. Thank you to all the notes, cards, text and phone calls, Kyler loved all the attention!

The Bee's Game

On Wednesday we went to watch the Salt Lake Bee's play. Brian was able to get free tickets through and the boys always have a blast. We were right behind home plate which was a lot of fun. The boys loved watching Bumble the mascot and liked the crack the bat made when the ball was hit. Kyler was fasinated with everything, especially the venders walking around. He really liked the look of the cotton candy and would point it out when ever he saw it. We finally gave in a bought some to let him try it...then he wasn't sure if he liked the cotton candy, too sticky he said.

Conner's Preschool Mother's Day Celebration

On Friday Conner's preschool class had a Mother's Day celebration for all the mom's. They made card, planted flowers, and sang songs. It was very cute, here are two of their songs.

Conner would not sing but he knew all the actions.

Living Planet Aquarium

Wow, it is so hard to believe another month is gone. The rest of April went by pretty quick we had a trip to the doctor for everyone. Conner had is 5 year well check and 4 shots! Kyler picked up something at the doctor and we took a trip back there the next week for a nasty virus and double ear infections, he is better now. Brain has been having issues with numbness in his leg and went to get it checked. I had my 28 week visit and glucose test, yuck! But the baby is doing well her heart beat is strong, she is measuring well and is head down for now.
Today we took a little trip to the local aquarium, it is not very big but it has been almost years since we were there last and the boys did not remember it. The aquarium also has added a new area which had animals from the amazon. There were piranhas, an anaconda, spiders and frogs. Kyler loved the frogs, his favorite was the poisonous blue dart frog. Conner loved watch the fish and sting rays swim in the hands on tank but would not stick his hand in the water.

We also saw the jellyfish.

The reef fish, aka Nemo and friends.

And of course the sharks, three times I think. They are a favorite for both boys and are pretty fun to watch too! In all the trip to the aquarium was a lot of fun and a nice break from home and the doctors.
